WWE has sent fans on a hopeful wild goose chase with major match announcements on Monday Night Raw. Apart from kicking off the Elimination Chamber Card with the colossal WWE Championship match confirmation, WWE has announced another title defense for the PPV.

Following her recent disqualification victory over Charlotte Flair, Lacey Evans is set to go head to head with Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship at Elimination Chamber.

Ric Flair used his influence (according to the storyline) to get Lacey a title shot. The stipulation required the ‘Lady of Raw’ to beat Charlotte in a one-on-one match.

Considering Lacey’s evil tactics in the recent past, ‘The Queen’ was overcome with emotion and let loose on Evans. Unfortunately, this led to a disqualification loss for the 12 time women’s champion.

Lacey Evans will now get the opportunity of a lifetime alongside Ric Flair as she takes on ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’. She aims to use every trick of the trade learned from one of the greatest of all time, but it may not be enough to beat Asuka.

Edge and Bianca Belair provided updates on their decisions for WrestleMania

Apart from this huge match announcement, WWE also provided updates on Edge and Bianca Belair’s big decision.

In fact, Edge appeared on the show to unveil his WrestleMania opponent. He revealed that his opponent would be the Superstar who walks out of Elimination Chamber as WWE Champion.

Although, before he could specify, The Miz rudely interrupted his promo. As of now, Edge has confirmed that he will make the decision after Elimination Chamber. However, the Championship he will challenge for is still ambiguous.

Bianca Belair also updated fans on her decision, which was also unclear. ‘The EST of WWE’ teased challenging Asuka, but later mentioned that it could also be Sasha Banks. She too will make her decision after Elimination Chamber, so we will have to wait for a while.

Asuka is set to defend her long-held title, and she has gone a long time without a worthy competitor. The preoccupation of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss in other feuds has ensured Asuka’s undisputed reign.

That may all change at Elimination Chamber as she meets Ric Flair’s new apprentice. Lacey Evans has a lot to prove, and Flair, a lot to teach.
