

Ever since Christian returned to the ring at Royal Rumble 2021, speculations have been running rife on social media on his possible role over the next few months.
Seemingly recovered from his injuries, ‘Captain Charisma’ looks to make the most of his miraculous recovery. Shining a light on the possible trajectory for Christian, WWE Backstage host Renee Young discussed the topic with Emilio Sparks on the latest edition of Oral Sessions with Renee Young.

Young discussed the fact that Christian could be in for a title run, which Sparks emphasized. One of the main topics discussed was the idea that WWE should treat Christian like Brock Lesnar.
The reason for this is even though he has returned, he shouldn’t be used on shows weekly. The reason for this is that Christian is a big card player now and should be booked accordingly.
Bringing him in weekly would take off that spark that he has brought with him on his return. Furthermore, there are exciting avenues he can explore by reserving his character for only the biggest events.

Christian could rekindle his rivalry with Big E
Christian was promised a shot at the WWE Intercontinental Championship 7 years ago when Big E held the title. However, he was forced to step out of this feud due to the injury that ended it all.

Now, 7 years later, and Big E holds the title again while Christian has made a return to the ring. There could be a huge rekindling of a rivalry are as Big E takes on one of his forgotten foes.
Having the reputation of being a great technical wrestler, ‘Captain Cool’ has really torn a hole through retirement and is back. He could also decide to pursue Championships of his choice, but wants to take it one day at a time.

Renee Young and Emilio Sparks both agreed on the fact that Big E is a lot stronger than he used to be. They also speculated that it would be an uphill battle for Christian in any way, but if it were up to WWE, he should be the main card player rather than being in a one-off storyline.
