WWE fans have been looking into some Superstars that haven’t been booked well following the reports of Andrade asking for a release from his contract. One of the names that pops up is that of Aleister Black.

The Superstar hasn’t been seen on TV for months and fans are given to understand that he is still under WWE contract. This means that Black is being kept out of action for no reason.

Reminding us of Black, NXT star Leon Ruff recalled the time he had his match against him exactly one year ago from today. If you recall, Aleister Black achieved a squash victory after destroying Ruff in the ring in mere seconds.

According to Ruff, the original match took place on Main Event, WWE’s midweek show. Vince McMahon actually liked what he saw and gave the two the rare opportunity to do it on Monday night Raw.

This was all before ThunderDome, and something about that creeping silence accentuated the suspense in Black’s character. Ruff, completely spooked, attempted to attack but was blinded by some unique moves.

Black then instantly knocked out his opponent with a clean spinning heel kick to the head. We have seen knockouts like that before in UFC, but almost never in WWE.

Aleister Black hasn’t been seen since Zelina Vega’s firing from WWE

This made fans all around the WWE Universe aware of just what they were looking at. Never before had such a statement been made, and everyone was thrilled to see how the WWE would build this talent.

Unfortunately, things went downhill for unknown reasons. Following the shocking firing of Zelina Vega from WWE due to complications over the Twitch ban, Aleister Black has not been seen on TV.

Given that Vega is his wife, Black certainly must not have taken WWE’s actions lightly. There are no confirmed reports on that end, so we can’t make any assumptions.

Leon Ruff on the other hand has had an excellent year. You wouldn’t think that he turned out successful after that squash finish, but he did manage to bring on a huge upset in NXT.
