Monday Night Raw packed the usual enthusiasm and provided entertaining matches while setting up feuds for the next few weeks. With major events announced and slobber knockers like Asuka vs Charlotte Flair and Drew McIntyre’s callout, the episode had its moments.

1.The Viking Raiders vs. Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin

The Viking Raiders continued their winning run by defeating Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin, both of whom are struggling to get back in their stride after breaking away from The Hurt Business.

The two tag teams kicked off Raw, proving that WWE’s tag-team division is alive and kicking. Erik and Ivar displayed their strengths and sent Alexander and Benjamin home empty-handed yet again after a finishing Viking Experience.

2.Randy Orton vs. Riddle

Randy Orton wanted to teach Riddle a lesson in respect but instead got humiliated in the ring after Riddle picked up the victory via a roll-up pin.

Orton came in to dominate the match but was stunned by Riddle’s clearly set plans to hamper his efforts. Although Randy Orton was able to have his moments to damage Riddle, he ended up on the wrong side of the roll-up.

3.Lana & Naomi vs. Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax

Lana and Naomi may not be the most popular tag team out there, but they certainly proved their mettle by pulling off the victory against Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.

During the match, Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke instigated Nia Jax, causing her to leave the ring and chase them down. Alone, Shayna was quickly outmaneuvered and pinned by Lana and Naomi, who took the hard-fought win.

4.Elias vs. Kofi Kingston

Ever since their loss at WrestleMania, Kofi Kingston and Xavier woods have picked Elias and Jaxson Ryker as their new rivals. Interrupting his performance, Kofi and Woods wanted another fight, and this time, they got it.

Elias went one-on-one with Kofi and managed to stun the former WWE Champion with his brute strength and agility. In fact, Elias managed to win after a huge elbow drop on Kofi, proving a point by walking away with the win.

5.Drew McIntyre vs. Mace & T-Bar

Drew McIntyre entered a handicap match against 2 men taller than he is, and the odds looked stacked against him. However, ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ fought bravely and took the fight to the Retribution members.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough as the two got the better of him towards the end. As they continued beating down the former WWE Champion, an unlikely ally came to Drew’s aid.

Braun Strowman ran out and made the save, laying waste to T-Bar and Mace. Although the match ended in Disqualification in the favour of Retribution, the two were finally unmasked by Strowman to be revealed as Dominik Dijakovic and Dio Maddin.

6.The Miz vs. Damian Priest

The Miz seems to be thrilled that Bad Bunny is no longer in WWE, but Damian Priest was in no mood to let him get away with it. Interrupting his segment with Maryse and John Morrison, Priest called for a match with ‘The Awesome One’.

Damian Priest unfailingly dominated and shrugged off this challenge with a huge victory over The Miz. The latter tried to win by sinister means but was effectively shut down and pinned for the win

7.Asuka vs. Charlotte

The main event of the night featured Asuka taking on her most iconic rival in Charlotte Flair, who competed for the first time since her return last week.

‘The Queen’ and ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ brought the house down with their unique display of skill, and the match was an exciting counter against counter one.

However, Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley interfered and denied Charlotte the submission victory by breaking her Figure 4 submission lock.

The referee did not see this and assumed that Asuka had escaped it. In the midst of this confusion, Asuka managed to get the roll-up pin victory over Charlotte. ‘The Queen’ was furious and took out her frustration on the referee for the loss.
