Hulk Hogan had several memorable moments during his successful pro wrestling career. He even won against André the Giant at WrestleMania 3.
At WrestleMania 23, there were talks of Hogan going up against the 7 feet tall Big Show. But that did not happen.
There were reports that Big Show had problems with his back in 2007. And it played a major role in the match getting canceled. However, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross thinks the back problem wasn’t the only reason.

During an episode of the Grilling JR Podcast on AdFreeShows.com, Jim Ross revealed the other probable reason for Big Show not going up against Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 23.
Jim Ross on why Big Show vs. Hulk Hogan didn’t materialize
At WrestleMania 3, we saw Hogan slamming André the Giant and also getting the win over him. But Jim Ross thinks Big Show did not want a similar outcome for his rumored match against Hulk Hogan.
Ross said, “Maybe one of the reasons that Big Show was not interested, other than his back being problematic, was the fact that he didn’t want a job for Hogan.”

He added, “I think, politically speaking, creatively speaking, I’m assuming he [Big Show] was probably thinking, ‘This is my turn to get a big win. I can body slam Hogan. I can drop a leg on him like he drops on everybody else and get my win.'”.
Further, JR claimed Big Show getting the win over Hogan wasn’t on the cards. Big Show also left WWE in 2007 after his contract expired. But he returned once again in 2008 at WWE No Way Out.
