To WWE fans, John Cena is definitely a superhero with his witty remarks on the mic and his uber-cool in-ring finishers like ‘Attitude Adjustment’ and the ‘STF’. However, the mainstream took notice of the WWE legend when they saw him as an antihero in DC’s ‘The Suicide Squad’ in 2021.

This led to a full-fledged series called ‘Peacemaker’ in 2022, which got a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. And according to sources, season 2 of The Peacemaker will go into production sooner than we expected.

The last time we saw John Cena on the big screen was in ‘Hidden Strike’ with Legend Jackie Chan. Sadly, the movie did not strike a chord well with the audience. But now Cena has another chance to woo his audience with Peacemaker season 2.

The first season of Peacemaker came out in 2022. Fans loved it so much that some even said it’s much better than most of the current MCU shows. In Peacemaker, John Cena plays the character of Christopher Smith.

Recently, James Gunn revealed that Peacemaker season 2 will start work once ‘Superman Legacy’ is released. Armin from Comic Book Cast 2 which is an online news outlet giving news about MCU and DC said, “James Gunn recently revealed, ‘Don’t worry guys, i’m still making Peacemaker season 2’, good news for the 8 fans and people that watched that show, because Peacemaker season 2 is gonna happen and its gonna start production after Superman Legacy is out. Meaning at the earliest, by the end of 2025 is when we are gonna see the start of Peacemaker season 2, meaning 2026 if not early 2027 for release”.

Despite the wait of another 2 years to see season 2, fans are still excited to see what new escapades John Cena undertakes as the Peacemaker. But fans might get to see him on the silver screen even sooner with the release of ‘Fast & Furious 11’ slated for an April 2025 release.

John Cena joined the ‘Fast’ franchise with the movie ‘F9’ where he played the character of Jakob Toretto, a former agent of Mr. Nobody. Although he died in ‘Fast X’ in a car explosion while saving Dom (Vin Diesel) and his nephew. The series has garnered a reputation for infamously bringing back deceased characters come back to life in the next movie.

Just like Han’s car exploded in ‘The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift’ and everyone thought he was dead only to return in ‘Fast & Furious 9′. So fans are hoping that a similar revival is kept in store for John Cena’s character in ‘Fast & Furious 11’

And if that happens, no one’s going to be more excited than the WWE universe because that means that John Cena and Dwayne Johnson will be seen in a movie for the first time ever.
