Renee Paquette Could Return to Pro-Wrestling After Long WWE No-Compete Clause Comes to an End

Renee Paquette aka Renee Young in WWE has been away from pro-wrestling for a significant period of time. She quit WWE back in 2020 at the SummerSlam PPV. Since then, she has been out of the squared circle because of a lengthy Non-Compete clause with the WWE.

In her almost one year of absence from the wrestling drama she has successfully launched her podcast – ‘Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette’, has released a successful cookbook – ‘Messy In The Kitchen: My Guide to Eating Deliciously’, and recently became a mother.

In an exclusive interview with Wrestling Inc. Daily, Renee revealed that she will get back to the world of pro-wrestling, sooner than expected. Further revealing that her non-compete clause with WWE is ending.

Renee Paquette confesses that professional wrestling will always be her “bread and butter”

In the same interview, Renee said that even though she has kept herself occupied with other ventures out of the wrestling community,she is still focused on getting back into the mix.

“My non-compete with WWE is nearly up,” Paquette said. “I don’t ever want to separate myself from professional wrestling. I know that’s where my fanbase comes from, I know that’s essentially going to always be my bread and butter. And I love that. I love professional wrestling, so I’m not looking to ‘get away’ from it by any stretch.”

It makes sense for Renee to join her husband, Jon Moxley, in Tony Khan’s company and continue doing what she loves.

The wrestling broadcaster also revealed that she has no ill-feeling about WWE for making her wait for almost a year before she can get back.

“I still have a good standing relationship with WWE. There’s no ill-will or bad blood or anything like that,” 

For sure, if Renee joins the AEW broadcast team it would really give them a fresh face and familiar voice to the audience. Her accolades as a color commentator speak for themselves.

Paquette has not given an actual timeline for her return but the wrestling world is hoping that she makes it back soon.
