An interesting news has surfaced which could come across as a shock to the WWE Universe, yet again. Apparently, NXT Star Adam Cole will not be a part of WWE following SummerSlam 2021.

WWE is not releasing him, but his contract is ending. As of now, these are initial reports, and nothing has come from Adam Cole or WWE.

Initially, his contract was set to expire in 2024. However, as per Raj Giri’s report, it’s possible, his contract is ending after SummerSlam.

On the other hand, Sean Ross Sapp reported that Adam Cole may already be a free agent and is working on an extended contract with WWE. In this case, he isn’t working with WWE under a Superstar contract.

On the other hand, if Adam Cole’s contract is set to expire, he will need to take a thirty days break from wrestling as per NXT clauses before returning to the ring with another promotion or in the independent scene.

Nevertheless, WWE should really think about signing Adam Cole or extending his contract, but do whatever it takes to keep Cole within the company.

What happens if WWE releases Adam Cole?

If the company decides to not sign on Cole again, it might have a tremendous impact on the NXT roster. Moreover, it could lead to WWE losing a pro-wrestler who could have been a success on the main roster.

Considering Finn Balor and Karrion Kross are now on the main roster, Adam Cole is an important Superstar on the NXT roster. Therefore, to keep the weight of the Gold and Black brand’s roster, it’s important for WWE to understand why letting Cole go isn’t the best option.

Additionally, WWE just released a major Superstar from their main roster. Therefore, it won’t come across extremely appealing if the company lets go off another excellent pro-wrestler. However, if WWE does let go of Cole, he will not have any problem signing on with another promotion or company since there are others who will flush out money to bring him onboard.
