No wrestling family has had a legacy in wrestling that can eclipse that of the Anoaʻi family. Unfortunately, a piece of devastating news emerged on social media about a tragic demise in the family. Lance Anoaʻi, a member of the family, took to X (former Twitter) to share the information.

Since then, fans have been sharing their prayers for the Anoaʻi elder, who is a relative of Roman Reigns, and Dwayne Johnson.

A member of the Anoa’i clan passes away

On the evening of October 1st, the MLW star shared the news of the passing of his grandmother. “RIP GRAM! We love you!” he wrote. 

The news came days after Lance Anoa’i shared the news that his uncle Afa Anoa’i Jr. was rushed to the hospital on September 23rd. The reason was that he underwent a severe and unexpected cardiac complication. They also started a GoFundMe page for Anoa’i Jr. As per the page, the star had undergone many procedures and tests. Afa Anoa’i Jr. still continues to battle for his life and is still admitted to the hospital.

When the news of the sudden demise of the Anoa’i elder came in, fans flooded social media to react to it. One fan wished for all the love and strength upon the family. 

Few fans were not able to comprehend the fact that she passed away. People shared their condolences.

The third-generation wrestler from the Anoa’i family drew prayers from his followers.

Coming from the Samoan dynasty, Lance is the son of the Samoan SWAT team founding member, Samu. He is also the grandson of Afa and Dwayne Johnson’s cousin. Hardcore pro-wrestling fans have a lot of fond memories of the family.

Before signing with Major League Wrestling, he made a few appearances at the WWE Performance Center, and competed in matches as an enhancement talent. In fact, a few years ago, he featured alongside his cousin Roman Reigns on RAW.

Lance even shared the stage with Shane McMahon in 2019. The Anoa’i family member tapped out after getting choked.

While the in-ring bloodline has been facing some clashes, the real bloodline has suffered a massive loss. We would like to extend our heartfelt prayers and condolences to the family.
