WWE superstar Mustafa Ali posted a tweet, thanking an unlikely colleague for her help. The superstar Ali thanked is none other than Alicia Fox. She has been wrestling for WWE since 2008 and was an unlikely star of the women’s division. She only won one championship in WWE, but her career is quite a significant one.
Mustafa Ali thanks Alicia Fox for her role in his young career
According to the leader of Retribution, Fox helped him find his way backstage at a WWE event when he was hired as a local talent. Simply by the look on his face, Fox guided him to the right area. She even ensured that he knew where he was meant to be and at what time, and even ensured he ate after finishing his duties as a jobber.

Yesterday I got to remind her of that. She didn’t need to help some nervous, extremely lost kid. But she did. A damn queen.

At WWE Legend’s Night, Mustafa Ali met Fox again and thanked her for helping him all those years ago. “She didn’t need to help some nervous, extremely lost kid. But she did. A damn queen,” wrote Ali in his tweet.
It was a very touching tribute to one of the most underrated talents in WWE.
Alicia Fox’s WWE career
Alicia Fox may have only won one title in WWE, but she was actually a pretty amazing performer. Her character work was never shabby, and her facials were always on point. She killed it as both heel and babyface. During her career, she played the part of wrestler, tag team partner (with the Bella Twins), and even a manager.

In 2010, Fox won the WWE Divas Championship at the Fatal 4-Way PPV, making her the only African-American to win the championship. Fox even competed in NXT. She played the mentor for another forgotten diva, Maxine, and even competed in the tournament to determine the new NXT Women’s Championship.
Fox’s WWE career never officially ended. Because of her inactivity and rare appearances on shows, she was moved to the alumni section of the WWE roster. Alicia has not formally retired from in-ring competition, but it is unlikely that she might ever return. Her last big match came at Evolution, when she teamed up with Mickie James to take on Trish Stratus and Lita.
