The threat in question is none other than his latest foe, Santos Escober.

Santos Escober sent a chilling threat to Rey Mysterio on his sudden resurgence.

Escober launched a serious assault on the Elder Mysterio during November’s SmackDown episode, making him pay for costing a match against Carlito in a street fight. It was the Mexican star’s way of giving his childhood hero a hassled farewell. But with Mysterio coming back tonight, Escober became ferocious and tactless. ‘‘I gave Rey a clean way out of this industry, like a legend, with his head held up high. WWE Hall of Famer. This is my time. It was supposed to be my moment, and he took it away. Now tonight, with the so-called surprise return, it’s fair game. I will end Rey Mysterio, and this time, there’s not gonna be a surprise comeback”, he claimed in a frightful interview post the show.

We can rest assured WWE has some big plans for the newly minted Mysterio-Escober rivalry going forward.
