Back in 2018, Buddy Murphy defeated Cedric Alexander in Melbourne, Australia, to win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Whereas Rhea Ripley too retained her title tonight at the Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia.

But with both enjoying the crowd support at their respective events, who actually drew more love from the fans? Well, it is quite interesting. WWE Super Showdown 2018 drew a crowd of 70 thousand fans, or 60 thousand, according to Dave Meltzer. Whereas Elimination Chamber 2024 drew a crowd of 52,590 at the Optus Stadium. So surely, more people means more cheers, right? Well, no!
If you listen to the crowd pop and the visual support of the fans, and considering Rhea Ripley is the biggest name on the women’s roster while Murphy was a mid-carder, Mami actually drew more crowd support as people clearly cheered and hooted more for her. And the arena erupted further as she defeated Nia Jax at the main event of the Elimination Chamber. Now, she will face Becky Lynch at WrestleMania XL.

Later in the evening, The Brutality defended the women’s title against Nia Jax with the home crowd on her side.
