The Judgement Day’s Mami Rhea Ripley is known for her dominating, gothic persona as a part of her WWE gimmick. While speaking to former WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia, Ripley shared an experience from her life related to sour candy. The video was uploaded on Lillian Gracia’s YouTube channel on 7th December 2020.

Garcia asked Ripley a few questions on the segment CG Speed, one of which was related to Ripley’s preference between Sweet and Sour. Ripley picked sour and then continued to share a story that pushed her towards liking sour candies.

The interview began with Garcia asking Ripley about her celebrity crush to which she answered Sylvester Stallone. Ripley likes the unique blend of toughness and charm in Stallone, which drifted the question toward her choice of flavor.

While addressing her favorite flavor, she said, “I love sour. Umm, I didn’t always love sour though. My friend back home Soraya, introduced me to the candy warheads. Once I had that, we went camping one time and the kiosks like sold them. We ate a hundred of them in one day.”

Ripley suggested that the particular incident paved the way for her fascination with sour candies, which she still carries forward to this day.

As a result of her reckless actions, the WWE star paid the price. She opened up on the consequences she faced by saying, “Our tongues were peeling legit, I would poke my tongue out and peel like skin layers off, and then the next day we ate a hundred again and it was so much worse I couldn’t eat properly for a week.”

Ripley even shared other adverse effects of her actions as she revealed that despite trying remedies she couldn’t reverse the damage to her tongue immediately.

As a result, she could not eat properly for a week. But Ripley tried to neutralize the effect of the candy by trying a cup of hot chocolate but failed. Perhaps forged from this experience, Ripley donned tongue piercings during her stint right now in WWE. 

Her obsession with her piercings and rings can be observed when a few weeks back, she immediately got new piercings after losing her nose rings. It happened during her fight against Raquel Rodriguez at WWE Payback.

Nevertheless, Ripley has a history of turning her weaknesses into her strengths, as evidenced by this painful incident. She carries forward that resilience and determination to make her current run in the WWE as one of the hottest stints in recent times.
