Rhea Ripley was in action in her home country of Australia for the first time in seven years, and it was well worth the wait. In the Elimination Chamber match against Nia Jax, Rhea Ripley had one of the most formidable opponents in her Women’s World Title run. In the past few weeks, Jax has been giving Ripley a lot of trouble, beating the champion in a way that has never been seen before.

Ripley is a standout performer. For WWE, the show could have ended with either the men’s or women’s Elimination Chamber event. However, it was great to see Ripley shine in the main event. After the event, Ripley got emotional and even said she was a “Blubbering Mess” that no one had ever seen yet.

Nia Jax lost to Rhea Ripley when she came home to the WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 in Perth, Australia. As Michael Cole put it, Ripley was emotional in front of a biased crowd. He called it Rhea’s “Mania moment before her WrestleMania moment.”

After defending her WWE Women’s World title at the WWE Elimination Chamber in Perth, Rhea Ripley’s return to Australia was a happy one for “Mami.” In a recent clip, Ripley expressed her proud moment by saying,

“It is such an amazing and proud moment. I cannot put into words exactly how I feel. All I know is that I am a blubbering mess and so emotional at this time, and I know it is not Rhea Ripley that we all see, so I’m letting you guys into my life and letting you guys see this vulnerable side of me. 

Rhea Ripley went on and said Australia is her homeland, and it’s all because of the people in her home. “And it’s all because you guys—it really is you guys, Australia. This is my home.”. 

 

Ripley defended her title against Nia Jax in the show’s main event. There were more than fifty thousand people in Optus Stadium who cheered for the Judgment Day member. At the event, Rhea’s family was in the ring, and they celebrated with her friends after the fight. 

She will now defend the WWE women’s world title at WrestleMania 40 against Becky Lynch.

What will happen next? 

Now that the Elimination Chamber is over, the Women’s World Championship match for WrestleMania 40 is precise. Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley will now defend it against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40. 

Becky Lynch, who recently won the Women’s Elimination Chamber match, It will be interesting to see if Lynch can beat the winner in April.
