Ric Flair on Kevin Owens Re-signing with WWE: “He Wants to Be on Top”

Ric Flair admires how Kevin Owens went through his WWE journey and made his way to the top. Recently, the WWE Legend talked about Owens in his podcast. During the conversation, Flair showed respect to Owens and admired his talent.

From being the NXT Champion to the WWE Universal Champion, Owens grabbed the spotlight in the wrestling world with his amazing skills and attitude. Moreover, Owens had become a fan favorite in the process.

During his conversation, Ric Flair recalled his moment with Owens on his KO Show. He said, “When I was doing a segment with him on a thanksgiving uh Starrcade show. It was the Kevin Owens KO Show, and he said what do you want to talk about and I said, hey you’re the boss.”

“He said, ‘Wait! You’re Ric Flair.’ and I said, ‘Well, that means nothing right now. We’ll talk about whatever you want to talk about.’ He’s a very respectable kid with a ton of talent and he takes these huge bumps and all that. I’m happy for him and I wish him nothing but success. He’s a great guy.” said Flair.

Also, Flair talked about ‘The Prizefighter’ signing a new deal with WWE. Eventually, he said that Owens likes to work, and that ‘he wants to be on top.’

Recently, Owens signed a new contract with WWE. For months, there were rumors regarding Kevin Owens’ contract expiration, but now a final decision had been made up. He signed a three-year deal with WWE, which will take him up to $2 to $3 million earning per year.

In the recent episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE Champion Big E and Bobby Lashley battled against Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins in a tag team match.

Owens and Rollins proved a great team fighting against Big E and Lashley. However, they faced a defeat; they assaulted Lashley and Big E in the end. Although this alliance may be temporary, they could use it for their advantage at ‘Day 1’ pay-per-view in the fatal-4 way match.
