Meeting Vince McMahon has changed many people’s lives. There have been many stars who only got the platform to show their charisma and skills because of McMahon. Over the years, we have heard of many funny and lucky encounters with the boss of top stars like Dwayne Johnson and Drew McIntyre. But while they were supposed to happen, Matt Morgan went to lengths to make it happen.

A former SmackDown superstar, Morgan has had a massive wrestling career, but his start came when he met McMahon. His stints with TNA and the indies and also his political career might not have started at all if McMahon didn’t give the 7ft giant a platform. But Morgan’s narration of the events of their first meeting is hilarious.

Former WWE star reveals his hilarious first meeting with Vince McMahon

Coming on the Chris Van Vliet show, Morgan talked about his entry to wrestling. Working as a bouncer in a club at Titan Towers, a Raw writer advised the man to catch hold of McMahon on his way to the gym. After waiting 6 months going to the gym every day, Morgan finally met up with the legend himself. Despite the abrupt first impression, Morgan made it worth it.

Morgan narrates, “I’m walking into the locker room and Vince is walking out, basically right into my chest. Ironically, this is literally how I met my wife… He tells me that they have this reality show that’s going to be coming out in the future. So, some time goes by, and ended up being told to send my tape in for MTV WWF Tough Enough part 2.

As they say, the rest is history. Despite being taken out of Tough Enough because of an injury, Morgan was able to make his wrestling debut in OVW. From there, the man went on to appear on SmackDown for 2 years. But that didn’t work out. So, he shifted to TNA, and there he spent around 7-8 years working with a lot of legends and top stars.

So, here is a great example of McMahon giving the boost that a normal person needs to enter the fray. Coming back to the Johnson story, his first meeting was not so positive. After his first match, the boss sent him to the training grounds again. But, that ended up making The Rock, the icon that he is today.
