One of the most popular moves in wrestling history is the Rock Bottom. Connected directly to the legacy of one legend, Dwayne Johnson, the move has been a part of some of the most historic moments in WWE history. From Steve Austin at WrestleMania X-Seven to John Cena at WrestleMania 28, wrestlers have also replicated the move on Johnson himself.

In current times, Becky Lynch has also developed a version of her own called the ‘Man Handle’. This way, the move evolves from one generation to the next. Every time there was a skirmish, you were bound to know that Johnson settled it with the Rock Bottom. Recently, The Rock revealed one of the things he used to do alongside hitting the move on the opponent. And it’s the sweetest thing in the world.
Dwayne Johnson reveals a heartwarming moment with Paul Heyman
In one of the biggest SummerSlam main events ever, The Rock and Brock Lesnar fought each other for the Undisputed WWE Championship. The match was full of crazy spots which saw the two WWE legends inside and out of the ring multiple times. But we all know how Lesnar matches went back in the day.

When the Beast was down, Heyman used to distract the opponent and an F5 later, Lesnar would win the match. But this time, The Rock was prepared for such shenanigans. So, when Heyman came to distract him, the People’s Champ only had one thing to do: deliver a Rock Bottom to Heyman on the ringside.
Years later, a fan noticed the clip and pointed out that The Rock said something to Heyman after the devastating move. Surprising, Johnson replied to this tweet by saying that he asked Heyman if he was alright and thanked him for taking the move. This was something he told every person who took the move.

Good eye Austin that you would catch my whispering to Paul. I said to him what I say to everyone I did this crazy, dangerous shit with 🤣💀
I made sure he was ok and I thanked him. Loved working with @HeymanHustle. We shared a love and passion for our wild world of pro wrestling. https://t.co/kwRLUNr0U0— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) August 27, 2022
If we compare, the Rock Bottom is one of the safest moves in wrestling. There isn’t a risk of injuring the receiver’s neck or back and safely bring them down to the mat. While Rock Bottom might have some risk involved nonetheless, the other signature that DJ used was just a running elbow.
