Edge declared his choice of champion to challenge at the upcoming WrestleMania, and it is WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.
‘The Tribal Chief’ had demanded Edge pick him as the Champion he wanted to challenge. It would have thrilled Roman Reigns had Edge had not speared him at Elimination Chamber 2021 before he made the challenge.

The current Universal Champion was in immense pain to even look at Edge with the stern gaze that makes his opponents hesitate to enter the ring. In fact, he was just trying to stand up while Edge walked away, with a fiery look on his face.
However, Roman Reigns has finally responded to Edge’s challenge. He is confident that when the WrestleMania match ends, Edge will refer to Reigns as ‘The Tribal Chief’.
When it’s done.
You’ll write “My Tribal Chief”. https://t.co/KID5dDB2y9— Roman Reigns (@WWERomanReigns) February 22, 2021
Undoubtedly, Reigns enjoys it tremendously when his rivals bow down before him and accept him as their chief. He ensured his cousin, Jey Uso, acknowledged him as ‘The Head of the Table’, and now he wants to make Edge acknowledge the same.
Now, with Edge being the Superstar he is, there is minimal to zero chances he will accept Reigns as ‘The Tribal Chief’. He won the first PPV of 2021 by becoming the winner of the Men’s Royal Rumble match, and it looks like there’s no stopping him.
Roman Reigns might face two rivals simultaneously
The last rivalry WWE booked Roman Reigns in was against Kevin Owens. There is a possibility that rivalry is still ongoing as Owens claimed he wasn’t done with Reigns even though ‘The Tribal Chief’ defeated him at Royal Rumble 2021.
This rivalry has been going on since December 2020.

It’s unknown whether the road to WrestleMania will witness a union between Edge and Owens. The latter will team up with anybody if it means putting down Reigns.
Considering WWE changed the WWE Champion from Drew McIntyre to The Miz at Elimination Chamber 2021, it’s possible the Universal Champion will change at WrestleMania.
