Roman Reigns Issues a Statement after Huge Win at WWE Payback

Roman Reigns is the new Universal Champion! He’s the WWE Superstar who can put his money where his mouth is.

Roman Reigns lives up to his prediction for Universal Championship title

Reigns declared that he would win the Universal Champion title, and he did.

In the triple threat match during WWE Payback, The ‘Big Dog’ overpowered Braun Strowman and The Fiend Bray Wyatt. However, it was actually Braun Strowman whom he pinned for the win.

Initially, it was only Braun Strowman and The Fiend who battled it out. Both engaged in a rather brutal match. Right before Reigns made his entrance, The Monster Among Men and The Fiend broke the ring.

Roman Reigns entered the ring with a steel chair and brutalized both of them with it. During the closing moments of the match, The Fiend had Reigns in a mandible claw. Reigns counter-attacked The Fiend with a low blow to dismiss him.

Following this, The Big Dog delivered a spear to The ‘Monster Among Men,’ pinned him, and won the championship title.

However, it’s rather unfortunate for The Fiend that he could only hold the title for a week. He acquired the title during SummerSlam 2020 after defeating Braun Strowman.

However, the second Reigns returned at SummerSlam, it was a given that he will definitely be the holder of this title.

Finally, this match was evidence of Roman Reigns returning as a heel. He entered when the other two were at their weakest, signed the contract once the match had already started, and used a weapon and a low blow on the other Superstars.

Now, his fans are ecstatic about his return to the ring, and him winning the Universal Championship title. They know that The Big Dog has returned to the yard and is claiming it back for himself now. Furthermore, this is a dawn of a new era with the Reigns-Heyman alliance taking precedent in WWE.
