This match took place inside a steel cage. Lesnar was ready to defend his title against Roman Reigns that night. As expected, the match was full of finishers and some signature moves.
It was Brock who controlled the proceedings of the match with four German Suplexes and three F5s.

But that was not enough to get the win as Reigns came back with three Superman Punches. But the ultimate twist came right at the end.

Roman Reigns speared Lesnar to take both of them through the steel cage. But luckily for Lesnar, his back hit the floor first and according to the rules, Brock Lesnar was declared the winner. Not in the most convincing way, but Brock defended his title that night.

This was Roman’s third shot at the title after failing previously at WrestleMania and at the Greatest Royal Rumble. However, this match had an element of surprise. That surprise was Braun Strowman. Before the start of the match, Strowman made his way to the ring and announced that he will cash in his Money in the Bank contract after the match.

The match got off to an insane start as Reigns hit Lesnar with three Superman Punches and spears. But Lesnar came back by locking Reigns into a guillotine chock twice. But the turning point of this match was when Lesnar sidestepped a spear and sent Reigns through the ropes and the latter crashed into Strowman.

Brock then turned his attention on Strowman and took him out with an F5 and some devastating blows with a steel chair. But Reigns took advantage of this and hit Brock with a spear for the win.

It looked like the storyline is set for Reigns to become the new WWE Universal Champion. But much to everyone’s surprise, The Beast Incarnate hit Roman Reigns with a fifth F5 and then pinned Reigns to keep his title.

The two men produced a brilliant match. Both Brock and Roman refused to quit, even after getting hit by the finishers. But the ultimate twist came when Seth Rollins made this a triple threat match by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract right at the end.

Even though Brock was about to hit Rollins with an F5, Reigns speared Lesnar down. This gave Rollins an advantage as he immediately hit the Curb Stomp on Reigns for the victory.

Lesnar and Reigns also met each other on two other occasions. The pair were involved in a triple threat match with Dean Ambrose at WWE Fastlane in 2016 and also in a Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE Universal Championship back at WWE SummerSlam 2017.
