The superstars are up for grabs by each brand with WWE Draft 2024 getting underway on SmackDown tonight from Heritage Bank Centre, Ohio, Cincinnati. There will be a total of 16 picks available for tonight out of a talent pool of 19 main roster acts. That said, NXT stars and most of the champions are also eligible to be picked up tonight as per the special rule being in force this year. But who is the first to be taken on board tonight by the blue brand? Well, surpassing a lot of deserving names like Seth Rollins, Sheamus, Liv Morgan, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Randy Orton, and more, Bianca Belair popped up as the first in SmackDown’s best-assorted set of assets.

Bianca Belair led the WWE Draft 2024 list by landing on the red brand first

The overall strength of the Blue brand mostly lies in the Women’s division and Nick Aldis made the first wise choice for shaping an elevated women’s locker room for the next year of competition, re-racking the EST of WWE to her old brand. The 35-year-old was meant to stay on SmackDown, given his fiery partnership with Jade Cargill. But Belair taking up the first spot was really an unforeseen call, as it has usually been reserved by Roman Reigns each year.

On the April 26 episode of WWE SmackDown, Belair Quickly set up her next target after being drafted to SmackDown. She came to the stage to announce the news while Kayla Braxton made it official that Belair and Jade Cargill would challenge Asuka and Kairi Sane for the Women’s Tag Team Championship at WWE Backlash next weekend.

The Kabuki Warriors had a brief confrontation with Belair following the declaration, but couldn’t wreak havoc, thanks to Cargill’s swift entry to even the odds.

Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair have been allies since WWE WrestleMania 40. The duo teamed up with Naomi to defeat Damage CTRL at WWE WrestleMania 40.

Now, it will be fascinating to see if WWE stretches on the Belair-Cargill storyline by making them capture the Women’s Tag Team Champion or not.

What’s your take on Bianca Belair being the first to head to SmackDown during Night 1 of WWE Draft 2024?  Let us know in the comments.
