Fear is a powerful motivator, and the WWE Universal Champion is absolutely terrifying. Roman Reigns has found his newest and bravest challenger in Kevin Owens. The Prizefighter was the only SmackDown Superstar to stand up to Reigns’ tyranny. Unfortunately for KO, he was put in his place by the dominant champion.

SmackDown saw a stunning main event between Kevin Owens and Otis, and Roman Reigns and Jey Uso. Jey Uso had to fight Owens and Otis single-handedly, since the Tribal Chief took his own sweet time to come out to the ring.

Once Reigns walked in, the scenario took a 180-degree turn. Reigns assaulted Otis with the steel steps, rendering the big man injured and ineffective.

This left Owens completely at the mercy of Reigns and Uso, but Reigns got himself disqualified after refusing to relinquish the guillotine choke.

After the match, Reigns and Uso viciously assaulted Owens with steel chair shots. Having put Owens in his place, Reigns swung the chair at his cousin. Uso did not obey his Chief’s commands during the tag match which led to him getting laid out by Roman.

“I am doing nothing but what is necessary. If someone falls out of line, I will put them back in it and if someone challenges my family’s position… they will get knocked down.”

Reigns’ words are meant to intimidate anyone who dares to step in his and his family’s way.

Owens called out Roman last week, after he beat Jey Uso via disqualification. Jey attacked Owens with a steel chair, but it took one Stunner from Owens to swing the odds in his favour. He battered Uso with chair shots, sending a message to Uso’s Tribal Chief. The fearless Owens declared that he wasn’t afraid of Reigns or his family.

Reigns accepted Owens’ challenge the following week, and the match was set. Owens and Reigns have faced each other before in a brilliant No Disqualification match at the 2017 Royal Rumble. If they can capture the same magic that they produced three years ago, it will be one hell of a main event.
