Ric Flair Will Make WWE In Ring Return Under One Condition

Former 16 Time World Champion the ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair recently did a live stream on Instagram. The 71-year-old veteran in the Livestream revealed that he would only choose Roman Reigns if he wanted one more run in the ring. Flair revealed more information like the fact that he actually trained hard to Wrestle at the Crown Jewel event in 2019. However, WWE stopped him and he instead became a ringside manager for the Team Hogan Vs Team Flair match.

Ric Flair is an old man. He has everyone’s respect for his wrestling and promo skills. He might still have the charisma but his body has clearly deteriorated. In early 2019 Flair was rushed to a hospital for emergency surgery. This caused him to pull out of the Roast of Ric Flair. Though the man recovered it is definite proof for WWE that letting Ric wrestle will be a suicidal mistake.

Why Ric Flair and Roman should not happen

WWE has been criticized for still using the Undertaker, not because of the match quality but to protect the myth. The world of professional wrestling is about storytelling and using older guys to put dark smudges on their story is considered to be bad booking. Ric has similar lore. He is known as the womanizer who has won it all. The Master of the Figure-4 leglock.The man who might not have the best physical stature but who can still pull victories using sneaky ways. Similarly, the man he fights to fight Roman Reigns has lore. He already gets hate for defeating the Undertaker and if he was to put Ric then it would be a lose-lose for him.

If Roman was to win against Flair the WWE Universe would turn the back on him. Vince does not want that and he wants Roman to be a top babyface. Similarly if Roman was to lose that would be a disaster. Losing to a 71-year-old man would make it difficult for anyone to take the  Big Dog seriously.

Considering this it seems Ric’s wish will just be a wish. Both of these men do not need a match. Both have successful WWE careers and Roman should focus on stronger stars instead of old men.
