Roman Reigns pulled off an insane victory at Payback to win the WWE Universal Championship from “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman. He managed to be the better competitor in the triple threat match between WWE’s top 3 powerhouses.

The return of ‘The Big Dog’ has received an overwhelmingly positive reception from fans as they stormed Twitter to express their excitement. No one expected Reigns to return, and it seems fans are getting exactly what they want.

However, there are some fans who did not appreciate the fact that Reigns interfered with yet another major storyline. These are probably the fans who think that “The Fiend” deserved a better run.

In a post on Twitter, a disgruntled fan criticized WWE for bringing back Reigns and forcing him into a storyline again. Seeing this, the Universal Champion responded with a statement worthy of his name as you can see in the tweet below.

I agree to an extent with Roman Reigns. Some fans complain consistently that they don’t get good enough content from WWE anymore. They feel that all the matches seem forced, storylines aren’t creative, the list goes on.

Roman Reigns has single-handedly pulled ratings up

Over the past few weeks, the writers have been giving us gold content. With the help of ThunderDome, the viewership has shot up acutely for WWE.

Now that Roman Reigns is back, the same fans complain that they’re forcing him in again. This is similar to the story of Charlotte Flair and John Cena.

Heel Roman is the best version of him yet. Seeing this form of him, there’s no doubt that the ring is his yard.

Fans have wanted a total do-over of Roman’s ring character and they seem to have gotten exactly what they wanted. The presence of Roman Reigns managed to boost ratings for Payback immensely.

It’s safe to say that his return was definitely needed and not expected at all.
