WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes has finally managed to add the most prestigious WWE Championship to his list of achievements. The American Nightmare survived the Bloodline Rules match to dethrone one of the biggest stars of WWE in the past decade, Roman Reigns. Now, he proudly holds the Undisputed Universal Championship after finally finishing his story.

This has been a dreamy moment for Cody Rhodes, who had been ardently chasing this goal for over two long years. He had a glorious moment with his mom, Michelle Rubio, after his win. He even received the same model of a Golden Rolex his dad, Dusty Rhodes, had pawned off from Triple H, Nick Khan, and Bruce Prichard. However, a new update suggests that this joyous celebration will not last long. In fact, Roman Reigns may himself come down and take this happiness away from The American Nightmare.

The WWE Universe has almost always had a title favorite each time two superstars compete. However, the Cody Rhodes versus Roman Reigns saga saw both pro wrestlers enjoy a ton of support from their fans. Naturally, after Rhodes’ eventual victory, several fans of The Tribal Chief were disappointed to see their leader lose. Interestingly, however, WWE enthusiast FADE seems to have discovered a potential return date for the former WWE Universal champion.

FADE tweeted an image of a screenshot showcasing the date, time, and venue of a SmackDown episode to be held on 2nd August in Ohio. But, the second picture which revealed that Reigns will be part of the show has the WWE Universe talking.

Notably, August is the month when WWE holds its SummerSlam PLE. The Bloodline leader has currently taken a hiatus from WWE to take care of his health and to keep his flaring leukemia at bay. But, if these screenshots carry the truth, then Cody Rhodes’ title reign may end within just four months.

The Tribal Chief had posted a brief video clip after his WrestleMania XL loss where he seemed to be gearing up for round three against Cody Rhodes. Thus, The American Nightmare will soon have to prepare himself to face The Head of the Table once again. In fact, he may find himself against Reigns and The Final Boss at the same time.

Will Cody Rhodes get cornered between The Rock and Roman Reigns?

The post-WrestleMania episode of Monday Night Raw saw Dwayne Johnson have a word with Cody Rhodes. The Rock asked Rhodes to not break his heart ever again and handed him something before making his exit. Several fans and pro wrestling analysts assume that the gift was the same Rolex watch that the new WWE Universal champion had received. But Johnson probably smashed it before handing it to The American Nightmare.

This means that The Final Boss will be back for the former AEW star once again, and considering Rhodes never defeated him, it will be a big problem. On the other hand, the potential leak says that Reigns might lay claim to his Undisputed WWE Universal title in August.
