Roman Reigns Unleashes A Barbaric Beating on Kevin Owens to Retain The Universal Championship at WWE TLC

Pure and utter carnage. Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns put on an utterly brilliant contest that stole the entire WWE TLC PPV. Roman Reigns had the support of Jey Uso to help him win. Nevertheless, Kevin Owens still convinced all of us he just might dethrone Reigns as the Universal Champion.

Reigns and Owens come out of the gates on fire

The Tribal Chief and the Prizefighter came to blows before the bell could ring. KO blindsided Reigns while the title was ascending to the top. Reigns regained control and hammered KO with unprotected steel step shots to the skull.

Owens constantly battled the odds, since Reigns had the numbers’ advantage. Jey Uso’s presence at ringside was crucial for the Tribal Chief. He made his presence known at moments that swung the match back in Reigns’ favour.

Owens and Reigns take each other to hell at WWE TLC

From unprotected steel step shots, vicious steel chair shots and spine shattering power bombs, this match had everything. At one time, Owens delivered a devastating fishermen’s buster suplex to Roman through a steel chair. Reigns returned the favour by powerbombing Owens through a ladder at ringside.

The carnage picked up as Reigns went supernova on KO. He destroyed him by planting him through various tables at ringside. Reigns delivered a uranage to KO through one, and a Samoan Drop through another. He even delivered a massive Spear through a table in the ring. The impact from the spear shattered the table into sawdust. Reigns also injured his neck in the collision.

Roman tried to end it with a Spear through the barricade, but KO dodged the maneuver. He superkicked Reigns into oblivion, before planting him with the patented Pop-Up Powerbomb through another table at ringside.

Reigns retains at WWE TLC 2020

Jey Uso was the obvious difference-maker in the match. He prevented KO from reaching the pinnacle and grabbing the title. Uso played the role of the parasite feeding off Reigns’ aura. However, it is startling, as he was once the most beloved babyfaces on the roster. Now, he has completed the transition to a full-blown heel.

Uso distracted KO long enough till Reigns could scale the ladder. The Tribal Chief unleashed the guillotine choke on KO, who succumbed to the dreaded submission. He pulled down the title with ease to continue his run as champion.
