Roman Reigns has been the WWE Universal Champion for well over a year now. In this timeframe, the ‘Tribal Chief’ has put down some of the biggest names in WWE, such as Daniel Bryan, Edge, and Rey Mysterio. However, his latest challenge will not be an easy one. Why? Because Brock Lesnar stands in front.

Brock Lesnar made his triumphant return to WWE at SummerSlam and confronted Roman Reigns. Last night, Lesnar returned to SmackDown at Madison Square Garden for the first time in almost two years to stake his claim at Reigns’ Universal Championship.

Although Paul Heyman tried his best to talk Lesnar out of the Universal Championship match, it didn’t do him any favors. In fact, Heyman was all set to be put down with an F5. Luckily, Roman Reigns made the save with a Superman Punch on the ‘Beast Incarnate.’

Roman Reigns is confident about defeating Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship

Brock Lesnar wasted little time to confront Roman Reigns and let his intentions speak for himself on WWE SmackDown. He quickly confronted Reigns, but Heyman came up ahead and amassed courage to ask Lesnar why was he challenging for the Universal Title, out of all the titles in WWE.

The ‘Beast Incarnate’ asked Paul Heyman a question in return. He asked Heyman why he didn’t tell Reigns that he (Lesnar) was at SummerSlam. This really turned things awkward as Reigns snatched his title from Heyman and left the ring.

Brock Lesnar then challenged Roman Reigns for his Universal Championship. Which, of course, wasn’t answered by at that moment. Later in the night, Reigns interrupted the main event between The Street Profits and The Usos as he thought the challengers would win the gold from his cousins.

After putting down the Street Profits, Reigns took the microphone and revealed that he accepts Lesnar’s challenge. He vowed to smash, stack and pin Lesnar just like he has done with several other superstars and just the way he will do it to Finn Balor at Extreme Rules 2021.

Just as Reigns said that, the lights turned off and then a blood red light emerged. The Demon made his presence felt for the first time on SmackDown, and concluded the show on an extremely high note by staring down the Universal Champion.

While Reigns has his hands full with a massive future challenger in the ‘Beast‘, he shouldn’t forget that the ‘Demon’ is undefeated and he shouldn’t get too ahead of himself.
