Charlotte Flair is one of the most successful and popular female athletes in recent history. Her list of accolades is never-ending. Hailing from the legendary Flair family, it can be safely said that Charlotte Flair has received her father’s genes. Much like her father, The Queen is extremely talented and successful.

The modern era has several great female athletes, and another one of them is Ronda Rousey. Hailing from a combat sports background, Rousey is extremely vicious and talented. She is the first UFC Bantamweight Champion, the first female UFC Hall of Famer, and even an Olympic medalist.

Both athletes are extremely talented and have a massive arsenal of move set with them. Flair and Rousey have a long-standing rivalry with each other that dates back to several years. Royal Rumble 2022 saw Rousey return to the mix, and win the match.

She would later challenge Flair at WrestleMania, although in a losing effort. Rousey would later defeat Flair and break her arm (kayfabe). The Queen would later be written off screen for seven months. During the December 30th episode of SmackDown, she made her return, challenged Rousey and won the championship.

However, later backstage, she was asked about she felt before returning. She stated she was waiting for the right opportunity to strike and did not to succumb in her last defeat against Rousey. Flair said that she was honored to be back. The 36-year-old also was happy to give her payback to Rousey, after Flair’s last defeat at her hands.

The 14-time Champion further stated how she is a lot of things to a lot of people, but never a quitter. Flair said, “When I went home I thought to myself, ‘I’m a lot of things to a lot of different people, but the one thing I’m not is, I’m not a quitter.’ So, I just waited until the right opportunity, the right time, and… 14-time.”

She claimed that she was waiting for the right opportunity, and when it arrived, she capitalized.

Charlotte Flair claims 2022 to be the best year of her life

2022 has been a rollercoaster ride; from Vince McMahon retiring and Triple H taking over to Roman Reigns continuing his dominant run and Flair making her return. It has been an eventful year, full of surprises. However, as per Flair, it has been the best year of her life.

After her win over Rousey, she engaged in an interview backstage, where she claimed 2022 to be the best of her life. Flair also provided five moments from the year that were the reasons behind it. She stated wrestling in Saudi Arabia, defeating Rousey at WrestleMania, marrying, travelling the world with her husband, and ending the year in WWE.
