The May 29th edition of Monday Night Raw saw Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey emerge as the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. But the major question here is if this tag team will remain intact or if Baszler will do to Rousey what she did with her former partner, Nia Jax? The star recently joked about the incident as well. 

To know what happened between the former women’s tag team champions, we have to go back to 2021. After defeating several superstars to defend the tag team championship multiple times, Baszler and Jax lost the titles to Natalya and Tamina. Tensions kept rising between the two stars. Eventually, a shocking incident happened in which Pat McAfee passed an insensitive comment. Now, years later, Baszler quoted his line while taking a shot at the 39-year-old star.

Speaking on Ring the Belle, Ronda Rousey’s MMA cohort and current tag team partner quoted McAfee’s controversial comment from 2021. He remarked about Nia Jax and Eva Marie after the two stars were released from their contract. Coincidently, this happened after a fight between Baszler and Jax which ended on an unpleasant note.

Before Jax got released from WWE, she faced Baszler in a fight. After the match, the Queen of Spades attacked Nia Jax’s arms by stomping on them while wedged in the steel steps. 

A similar incident happened with Eva Marie before she was written off TV. It was her last appearance in WWE. 

Seeing all of this, Pat McAfee passed an insensitive comment, connecting the dots between the two stars and their last appearance on the show.

Cut to 2023, Baszler recalled the remarks of McAfee and while quoting them, said, “I mean Pat started calling that the ‘future Endeavors Stomp.’“

Pat McAfee referred to Shayna Baszler’s brutal stomp as ‘future Endeavors Stomp’ inspired by WWE wishing released employees well in their future endeavors in the official statements. And now it seems like the Queen of Spades has taken it as a compliment. 

Whatever the actual case, this interesting connection between Baszler and the released WWE stars must have entertained fans. Now, it remains to be seen if something like this happens even again in the future.
