‘The Iconic’ Goldberg is a former WCW/WWE World Heavyweight Champion and Universal Champion. But there is one title that has eluded Goldberg for a long time, and it is the WWE Championship. Before he faces Drew McIntyre this Sunday, let’s learn how ‘The Iconic’ one prepares before a fight.
Goldberg reveals how he prepares before his big fights
Goldberg and Corey Graves spoke about a lot of things on the recent After the Bell Podcast. Graves asked the former Universal Champion how he prepares for his matches.

He said, “Corey, I don’t even know where to begin. Pardon my French, but it’s like shoving 50 pounds of crap in a Frickin 10-pound bag. I mean, at 54 years old, but hey, if I didn’t think I could do it and if I couldn’t do it, then I wouldn’t be putting myself you know through all of this.”

Goldberg is definitely not in the shape he was in his prime, but we don’t expect that from him either. He still looks like a badass who will whoop somebody in a matter of seconds.
There’s hardly anyone who’s in a better shape at 54 than Bill Goldberg. He also talked about having a lot of Slim Jim jerkies, boiled eggs, and meat sticks while he traveled on the road.
Will Drew McIntyre be Goldberg’s next victim?
WWE has upset the wrestling world twice with Goldberg. First, when he squashed Kevin Owens to win the Universal Championship at FastLane 2017. And second, when he squashed The Fiend at Super ShowDown 2020 to win the same championship.

Honestly, WWE has literally thrown Owens and Fiend, two of their top stars, as raw meat for Goldberg. The thought of Goldberg beating McIntyre is very scary, but the third time won’t be a charm for ‘The Iconic’ one.
Drew McIntyre‘s booking has been extremely strong heading into the Royal Rumble, so we really don’t know what will happen. In fact, chances of McIntyre squashing Goldberg are super high!
