In a recent post on Twitter, former WWE Superstar Ryback hinted at the possibility of him returning to the ring once more.

Earlier in the day, Jim Ross replied to a Twitter post of Mid Atlantic Wrestling that featured a video. The video was of a match from 1988 fought between Ronnie Garvin and the Italian Stallion.

The match took place on this day in 1988 and struck a chord in Jim Ross’ memory. He replied to the tweet as follows.

Jim Ross is one of the most passionate people in the sport. He often tries to incorporate the art of the trade into young recruits. Being around the ring for most of his life, JR keeps trying to imbibe the ways into new Superstars.

He left WWE after a falling out with Vince McMahon and now works with AEW, where he keeps the rhythm alive with his commentary.

Ryback was not booked as well as he should have been in WWE

Replying to his comment was Ryback. The former WWE Superstar seems to hint at something in his tweet as you can see below.

The wink emoji is what adds intrigue to the tweet. Will Ryback actually make a return? We’re not so sure at this moment but it’s not out of the cards entirely.

Ryback’s stint in WWE was powerful at first, but then he was grossly underbooked by WWE. His feud against John Cena was a big thing but when Cena beat him, he was done. WWE had made yet another Superstar Cena fodder.

The long hiatus may have served him well and “The Human Wrecking Ball” may make his way back to AEW soon.

However, as far as this news goes, nothing stands confirmed. Ryback’s hint may or may not be a hint but we can’t be too quick to denounce it as well.

There have been a number of times where these hints turn out to be true.

We will have to wait and see if Ryback feels like his hunger has returned. After all these years, he may want to blast his way back to the squared circle.
