The match, which was popularly promoted as a family affair, witnessed the true heel Roman Reigns. Towards the end of it, Reigns cared less about the title and more about acknowledgement. All he wanted was for his cousin to admit that Reigns was in fact, the ‘Tribal Chief.’
Despite the beatdown inflicted upon him, Jey Uso delivered a commendable performance. He stood strong, kept getting back up on his feet, and most importantly, he did not quit. There is a great possibility that Uso would have suffered great damage had his bother Jimmy Uso not interfered.

While the interference may divide the fans, from a neutral perspective, it was a twin saving his other half from the cousin-turned-monster-heel.
On the other hand, the fact that Roman Reigns did not spare Jey Uso cannot be held against him. The WWE Universal Champion a.k.a. the ‘Tribal Chief’ was doing what it takes to show the world that nobody stands a chance against him. Nobody will receive any consideration if they try to take his position as champion or his seat at the head of the family table.
