WWE Clash of Champions had a bit of a change in schedule but it was completely worth it. Instead of beginning with Asuka vs Zelina Vega, the show began with the triple threat Ladder match, and Jeff Hardy put on an absolutely insane show.

Hardy took Styles and Zayn to the limit and nearly send them home empty-handed. We expected big things from Hardy and we got it in full.

During a point in the match, Jeff Hardy had Sami where he wanted him. Zayn was completely out, lying on the ladder. “The Charismatic Enigma” instinctively knew what was going to happen.

Like we’ve seen him do it countless times before, Hardy climbed to the top of another ladder. From there, he felt the energy of the virtual fans and jumped from the highest to deliver a crazy Swanton Bomb on Zayn, who went through the ladder with the impact.

Sami Zayn still managed to pull off an upset against Jeff Hardy

Sami Zayn was completely broken. However, he still managed to brave the odds and walk it off. Zayn overcame a determined Styles and a self-sacrificing Hardy to become the Undisputed Intercontinental Champion.

Beating Hardy at his own game (and superstitions), Sami Zayn proved once and for all that he was the “legitimate” Champion, and everyone else was a fraud.

A lot of men have experienced the brutalities of going through a ladder. Most of those men have seen it while facing Jeff Hardy. We have seen him do a lot worse from a lot higher, and Zayn will be feeling that pain tomorrow morning.

Whenever Hardy has a ladder match, he has to do something crazy, and we can always credit him for that. I can’t remember the last time I was disappointed in Jeff Hardy.

We do not know how the storyline will go on form now, or if Hardy will continue his feud against Zayn. For now, Sami Zayn can see his opponents out. There is only one legitimate Champion, and we are looking at him.
