Ever since the WWE Universe made its way back to the live events, WWE has not stopped surprising their fans with wrestlers returning from injuries or hiatus. On this week’s SmackDown Live, former SmackDown Women’s champion Sasha Banks returned to the ring to save her friend.

Banks made her return when the current SmackDown Women’s champion Bianca Belair was present in the ring for an interview with Kayla Braxton, celebrating her first 100 days as the champ.

‘The Boss’ Sasha Banks had to come down to the ring because Belair was suffering a beat-down from Carmella and Zelina Vega. She came out to even things out.

At the start of the segment, Bianca Belair was in the ring with Kayla Braxton. Consequently, the latter congratulated Belair for keeping the title with her for 100 days and asked how she sees the next 100 days playing out.

However, she was interrupted by Carmella who came out with a microphone and said that the 100 days milestone is nothing. She later said that the champ should give another title shot to a woman who has previously held the championship for 130 days.

Post that, Zelina Vega came out and interrupted Carmella, saying that she should “better slow her roll” and added that losers should not get second chances.

As she entered the ring, she addressed Belair and said that WWE Universe wants to see Belair challenge a rising star like Vega. She then challenged the champ to which Belair said “she’s on!”. Carmella then hit Belair from behind and teamed up with Zelina for a 2 on 1 action against the champion.

To everyone’s surprise, Sasha Banks made her surprise return to a huge pop and ran to the aid of Belair dropping Carmella first, then Vega. The former champion then cleaned house and helped Belair get back up and held Belair’s arm in the air as she the champ looked visibly confused.
