79-Year-Old WWE Legend Battling for His Life in Hospital Receives His Flowers From Fellow Legend Jim Ross: “I Read His Wife’s Facebook Posts”

In 2024, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross would complete 50 years as a wrestling commentator. By virtue of his long career, the 71-year-old has been privy to the rise and fall of many wrestlers. While he is known for his time in the WWE, Ross’ work predates the formation of Vince McMahon’s company in its current form. In a recent chat, the WWE legend paid his homage to an ailing superstar, who is currently fighting for his life in a hospital.

79-year-old wrestling legend deserves a better quality of life, says Jim Ross

On the recent episode of his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross spoke about a variety of topics. It also included the hospitalization of Superstar Billy Graham. The 79-year-old wrestling legend is currently on life support, according to his wife Valerie.

She said doctors wanted to remove the former WWE Champion from life support but were opposed by her. Reacting to the news, Ross, a fellow WWE Hall of Famer, said, “I always like Billy. Billy, he’s in bad health right now. And we pray for his healing. He’s had a really tough challenge. I read his wife’s posts on Facebook. Just kind of keep up with Billy.”

The 71-year-old legendary commentator said Graham is one of his all-time favorite performers, hailing him as a “trendsetter”. Ross further stated, “We just hope that he can heal and can get a better quality of life because he certainly deserves it.”

Meanwhile, a 2x WWE Hall of Famer joined fans in wishing the legend a speedy recovery.

Nature Boy Ric Flair, was one among the many to wish good health to the ailing former wrestler. On Twitter Flair spoke about Graham’s influence in shaping the careers of several legends, including him.

The 74-year-old revealed that he dyed his hair blonde after being influenced by The Superstar’s style. Flair also named Graham and Dusty Rhodes as his heroes. Well, not only Flair, another 2x WWE Hall of Famer, Hulk Hogan, was deeply influenced by the legendary wrestler.

Superstar Billy Graham had suffered a heart attack earlier this year. Fortunately, he survived the health scare and fans would be hoping for a similar result this time too.
