Brock Lesnar is considered the final boss in the WWE since he returned in 2012. His run as the UFC Champion made his case as a legit fighter which further elevated him in the pro-wrestling industry. Vince McMahon positioned him as the main guy in the company. Hence, beating him was the ultimate point in the run to build any superstar.

The latest addition to WWE’s main eventer list is Cody Rhodes, who went through this same journey as he faced The Beast Incarnate. After beating Lesnar at SummerSlam, Rhodes entered an exclusive club that is only filled by WWE legends and potential Hall of Famers.

The tweet contained a list of WWE superstars (in chronological order) who have beaten Brock Lesnar in a one-on-one match at WWE since Lesnar’s return in 2012. The list contains the names of WWE legends, Hall of Famers, and potential future legends. The list does not contain the name of The Undertaker who beat Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam 2015 via referee’s stoppage.

Interestingly, only Reigns and Cody Rhodes have defeated Lesnar on two or more occasions. Cena, Triple H, Goldberg, and Rollins have beaten Lesnar once. Apart from this, the list mentions only six contenders, completely missing Drew McIntyre.

The list starts with John Cena after Lesnar made his epic return in 2012. Though Cena beat him clean at Extreme Rules 2012, Lesnar was a bona fide monster by then. He was next defeated by Triple H in WrestleMania 2015 in a No Holds Barred match. This was followed by another Rollins win in WrestleMania 2019.

Goldberg’s win against Lesnar came in Survivor Series 2016, which turned out to be one of the most historic comebacks. Now the list also failed to mention Drew McIntyre’s swift win against Lesnar in WrestleMania 36, back in March 2020. McIntyre managed to clinch the World Championship title under Lesnar, becoming his first World Championship title win, as well as the first British wrestler to hold the title.

Lesnar’s last two opponents Reigns and Rhodes have battled The Beast through long storylines. Lesnar has dedicated the last few years of his wrestling career to developing future superstars like Reigns and Rhodes. Now, Rhodes has cemented his place as a legitimate main-event performer after defeating Brock Lesnar.
