Sgt. Slaughter and AJ Francis then looked through a lot of Sarge’s collection until they finally got the swagger stick! AJ looked stunned, and he asked to confirm if that is the stick. Sgt. Slaughter quick said, “Yep, that’s the real deal. That’s the only one of it’s kind, I ever owned. That’s the one I whipped Bob Backlund with.”

Sarge then brought out his another iconic possession, his campaign cover hat. Talking about it, he said, “This is my campaign cover that I wore when I did my first Sgt. Slaughter promo. I’ve kept it all these years.”

Sgt. Slaughter revealed it was the same campaign cover hat he wore when Vince McMahon, Sr. called him to cut a promo in 1984.

“I want you to display those” – Sgt. Slaughter

The host AJ Francis then asked if Sarge could give the campaign cover and swagger stick to him so he could take it back to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Of course, it would be for a price.

However, Sgt. Slaughter outright said he doesn’t want any money. And just so you know, the valuation stands anywhere between $3,000 – $5,000.

He said, “Well, I’ll tell you what AJ, you don’t have to pay me anything for the swagger stick or the campaign cover.” He continued, “I want you to display those. I definitely think these things should be seen by the WWE Universe. It would be an honor to display it.”

It was such a nice gesture from Sgt. Slaughter to not only give his iconic memorabilia away,  but that too for free. It’s not just any other collector stuff; it is ‘the’ swagger stick and ‘the’ campaign cover that was synonymous with pro wrestling and WWF in the 80s and 90s!
