

During her stint in UFC, Ronda Rousey was one of the fiercest women on the roster. But since her departure from the company, her starlight has been dimmed. Her first spree in the wrestling world saw her at the top of the mountain, crushing every lovable wrestler, making her the perfect heel to hate. But the people behind the scenes have not made her come back to the wrestling ring turn out to be like her previous run.

While she was still a monster in the ring, the former UFC Bantamweight Champion was an entirely different person outside the ring. On the mic, she was not the best. The fans at the time wanted the ‘Rowdy’ in her, but all they got was a great wrestler who was not great on the mic.
WWE veteran Dutch Mantell’s take on today’s Ronda Rousey
When asked if Ronda Rousey will ever be able to reclaim her position as the female Brock Lesnar, Dutch Mantell commented, “See, Ronda Rousey is the baddest woman on the planet. See creative told her to go to the ring smiling, that is not her character. She should be just mad at the people and sullen… You gotta dislike her from the moment she comes out if she’s a heel.”

“But if she’s smiling and slapping little kids’ hands. Well, she’s not that bad. Then she gets in the ring and she goes and changes. She advances to the mean Ronda. Well, you need to show that character from the entrance back to the entrance because if you don’t, you’re confusing the fans. That would help a lot because you make decisions like that and every second you see her walking… She looks like a very unpleasant woman. Just looking at her you don’t think she’d be friendly and she’s probably not.”

Since her return at Royal Rumble 2022, Rousey returned to her heel side after losing her title to Liv Morgan. In her first defense, Morgan defeated Rousey with a technical victory. While she was tapping out to the armbar, she pinned Rousey clean. This led to fans’ disputes and now the fans are collectively hating on the underdog, Liv Morgan.
