WWE SmackDown November 19th, 2021: The road to Survivor Series is almost over, and it has been a rollercoaster. The fifth member of the SmackDown men’s team was still not chosen despite the pay-per-view being two days away.

WWE announced a fatal four-way match to decide who amongst Cesaro, Sheamus, Ricochet, and Jinder Mahal would secure the last spot on Team SmackDown.

After a fantastic opening segment by the Tribal Chief and The Bloodline, the energy level in the crowd was high. The fatal four-way match was next, and it indeed delivered.

The match kicked off with a brawl between Jinder and Cesaro as Sheamus stomped at Ricochet at the turnbuckle.

Then, Mahal and Sheamus teamed up for a brief period until the former rolled Sheamus up in a pin; this led to the two fighting it out in the ring alone until Cesaro took down The Celtic Warrior.

A few minutes later, the four men traded blows in the squared circle.

Cesaro was about to hit Sheamus with the Gotch Neutralizer, but Holland distracted the Swiss Superman. Holland got on the apron and swung at Cesaro. Sheamus took advantage of this distraction and hit Cesaro with a brogue kick to secure the win.

Hence, ‘The Celtic Warrior’ made it to Survivor Series to close off the spots on the traditional 5-on-5 elimination matches.

WWE SmackDown and RAW teams are set for Survivor Series

The traditional 5-on-5 match is held every year at Survivor Series. Superstars face off against one another in an elimination match. If a superstar taps out or gets pinned, they are eliminated from the match.

The eliminations go on until all members of one team are pinned, submitted, disqualified, or counted out. At the end of the night, whichever brand picks up more wins declares brand supremacy. (as part of the event’s brand warfare theme over recent years)
