Previously, reports claimed that Shotzi Blackheart will now go only as Shotzi. And now, Tegan Nox will go only by Nox. Usually, WWE drops a part of the name when Superstars move from NXT to the main roster to make them more memorable and marketable.

Now, Shotzi Blackheart has addressed the name change and has referred to Tegan Nox as Nox in her appreciation post for her. She expressed that it is perfect that she will make her main roster debut alongside Nox considering everything they have been on their journey together.

“I tagged with Nox in my first TAKEOVER! Main evented @wwenxt with Nox! We competed in our first royal rumble together! Its only fitting that we REUNITE for our DEBUT on smackdown TOGETHER! We make moments TOGETHER! @tegannoxwwe_ lets TCB and conquer TOGETHER! @WWE”

The women will start working under the blue brand as a tag team, and hopefully have their singles run in the future.

Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox had their first SmackDown match

Even before the news was confirmed, the duo arrived on WWE SmackDown and had a bout with current WWE Women’s Tag Team champions, Tamina and Natalya. They took on the champions in a non-title bout and defeated them.

Their victory on SmackDown was all that the WWE Universe needed to assume their official debut will happen in short order. However, when Nox appeared on NXT again, there was some confusion about what was going on. However, WWE had already changed Shotzi Blackheart’s name on the official site for Superstars confirming that the official debut was on the way.

They have already had their first match against the WWE Women’s Tag Team champions. This could potentially be a new feud for the title. In fact, the tag team championship title was overdue for new rivals and a fresh new storyline.
