However, WWE might have given a hint of how the match might turn out, saying, “Will the matchup between Styles and Zayn help clear up the Intercontinental Title picture or leave it even more chaotic than before?”

There is a high chance the match will end in a “more chaotic” way. Jeff Hardy might seek revenge on Zayn after last week’s attack.

WWE is probably going to make a triple threat match to determine the undisputed Intercontinental Champion at Clash of Champions 2020.

Sami Zayn was the Intercontinental Champion before Styles and Hardy. However, Sami did not defend his title nor did he appear on WWE programming due to the pandemic.

As a result, WWE vacated the title and held a tournament. The ‘Phenomenal One’ won it after defeating Daniel Bryan in the finals. However, Styles’ reign came to an end at 70 days after Jeff Hardy won the title on SmackDown.

On the August 28 edition of SmackDown, Sami Zayn returned with his title and claimed both Styles and Hardy were frauds. Zayn never lost the title (a claim similar to Roman Reigns). To consolidate his claims, he interrupted the matches between the two Superstars.

WWE announced the match to determine a contender for the Intercontinental Championship but it will probably end up in a triple threat match at the upcoming Clash of Champions 2020.
