Daniel Bryan wins Steel Cage Battle and sets sights on Roman Reigns

The Leader of the Yes! Movement and ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso are no strangers to each other. Both men have crossed paths several times, and Bryan has always prevailed. Yes, Jey Uso got the upper hand when the two met for the first time, but this Daniel Bryan is different.

Bryan and Uso locked themselves inside the steel cage as the ‘Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns watched from ringside. Bryan and Uso started with fast-paced action, and it continued throughout the match. There were a lot of high-risk maneuvers and close finishes we saw from both ends.

Jey Uso decimated Daniel Bryan and then grated his face on the steel cage like it was cheese. He tried to get out of the cage, but Bryan’s grit never lets him quit. The ‘American Dragon’ put his best foot forward and stopped Uso from leaving the cage.

The former SmackDown Tag Team Champion continued to focus on softening Bryan. Just as he thought he had done enough, Bryan amassed heroic strength to regroup and brought Uso down from the top of the cage just as he attempted to escape.

How did Bryan overcome the Jey Uso challenge?

Uso gave it his all to avoid Bryan getting the title opportunity, while Bryan gave it all for the exact opposite. Jey Uso tried everything in his arsenal from a Samoan Drop off the top rope to a Splash off the steel cage, but the technical wizard prevailed!

In the closing moments of the match, both men perched on top of the steel cage. They fought on top of the cage, but the course of the match changed when D-Bry connected with an underhook suplex off the top rope!

Daniel Bryan did not waste any time as he quickly transitioned into his trademark finisher, the Yes! Lock. Jey Uso screamed in pain and even made it to the bottom rope.

Sadly, there are no rope breaks in a Steel Cage match. Bryan got an even tighter grip that lead to Uso eventually tapping out.

The show ended with Bryan sitting on top of the cage and celebrating with the WWE Universe at the Thunderdome, while a disappointed Roman Reigns watched him from his seat at ringside.
