If you’re one of those fans who complain that the WWE doesn’t spend time in creating compelling stories anymore, then this week of programming would certainly change your perception. After a blockbuster segment on Raw between Randy Orton and Ric Flair, Braun Strowman and The Fiend stole the show on SmackDown.
The dark horse of this race has been the supremely talented Alexa Bliss. This week on the blue brand, she played her part in the rivalry to perfection.
As Braun Strowman walked out to the ring to call out the demon himself, he was instead graced by the presence of “Little Miss Bliss.” Teasing a potential romance between the two, Bliss demanded answers from Strowman for his sudden change of heart. Notably, Strowman had claimed last week that he didn’t care what The Fiend did to Bliss.

Braun repeated his stance this week as well, adding that anyone who came in contact with The Fiend was infected by his evil. Surprisingly, this offended Bliss to the point that she landed several slaps on the face of “The Monster Among Men.”

An incensed Strowman attacked Alexa Bliss launching her high up in the air. Interestingly, the moment of Bliss’ landing wasn’t visible due to the power going out.
This provoked The Fiend to come out to the ring. In one of the most twisted scenes we had seen in weeks, Braun appeared on the big screen while The Fiend Bray Wyatt was left in the ring with Bliss, both the monsters laughing hysterically.
There's no telling what will happen when #TheFiend @WWEBrayWyatt and #TheMonster @BraunStrowman finally collide at #SummerSlam… #SmackDown pic.twitter.com/6wx5qLITUQ

I don’t know about you, but this episode certainly got me hyped for this rivalry. With Strowman attacking Bliss, the lines between face and heel have been substantially blurred.
It seems like Twitter agrees with my stand.
Twitter praises the Braun Strowman-Fiend segment on WWE SmackDown
The reactions on Twitter were overwhelmingly positive. Fans praised WWE for investing some creativity in this storyline.
This is the first time The Fiend has been toyed with, Braun playing mind games with him was great.
Im loving this rivalry, Bliss has played her role brilliantly as well.
Good shit. #Smackdown

I called for The Fiend to be a face a long time ago. Embrace what Sting did, and be a scary savior. Heal people and be the face of WWE.
Glad to see it happening.

So…#AlexaBliss is bait 2 draw #TheFiend out? Could #BraunStrowman & Bliss be working 2gether? It wins no #Tony but @ least they're trying? #WWE #SmackDown pic.twitter.com/LRhCPyByg9

Seeing The Fiend and Sister Abigail walk down the ramp with The Fiend as Champ again would be dope. Hope that happens after Summerslam. #WWE #SmackDownOnFox

Ok. they’ve done it. This Braun/Alexa/Fiend triangle has the little kid in me woke. I loved the way Alexa slapped the hell outta Braun trying to get him to wake up. Anyone who faces the Fiend changes. This is some real premium cable tv right here lol. Braun needed this!

I think it’s obvious two choices.
1. Alexa turns heel and helps The Fiend after getting to ‘know’ him. Which is what I prefer.
2. This is Braun and Alexa setting up The Fiend by creating a weakness in him via Alexa that he thought Braun had for her.
Right now, he is to me. 🤷🏾♀️

Is the fiend face now? Is it heel vs heel? I’m hella confused. https://t.co/htRtSD6UtL
