“Some Level of Mistrust”: Retired WWE Legend Admits Having Issues With Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar is one of the biggest names that WWE has in their bag. The man can sell tickets equal to half of the roster alone. His popularity and fame aren’t just something that Triple H, the new Head of Creative, can risk to throwaway at any point. But watching his latest interview with Ariel Helwani, has revealed some insights about what will be WWE’s future relations with Brock Lesnar going forward.

We all know the history of Brock Lesnar and Triple H from way back in the early 2010s. The feud was intense and involved a No Holds Barred match and a few broken arms, courtesy of Lesnar’s Kimura Lock. He broke Shawn Michaels’ arm first and then Triple H’s. And no one can forget their SummerSlam confrontation, which was one of the King of Kings’ best matches.

But those matches and feuds were almost a decade ago. What is supposed to happen now that Triple H is in the biggest seat and Lesnar, while the biggest one out there, is still a talent?

In an interview that stunned the wrestling world, Triple H did a tell-all after his return to WWE’s creative. Sitting down with Ariel Helwani, “The Game” spoke about all the rumors and speculations surrounding his ascendance to the throne of WWE. One of the most exciting questions was about the relationship between Brock Lesnar and WWE in the future.

Triple H replied, “I have a great relationship with Brock Lesnar. Yeah, we’ve had issues over the years because, at a certain point, he was a talent and I was a talent. Talents all get along to some degree and there’s also a very real rivalry between all of them. They all want to be the best. Everybody wants to be the best and be in that spot. Yes, I’m sure there’s some level of mistrust or those things, right?”
