“Somebody Legit Called the Police”: 6’8″ Tall WWE Star Almost Got Jailed for Alleged Murder

The most exciting WWE Premium Live Event, Money In The Bank, is around the corner. The WWE Universe is eager to know about all the surprises this year’s ladder match is going to hold for them. 

The Money In The Bank, which started in 2005 as a part of WrestleMania, became a stand-alone event in 2010. In 2020, due to the pandemic, they held the MITB ladder matches at WWE headquarters in a cinematic-style match.

Otis won the 2020 year’s men’s Money In The Bank, who was having a great year. Asuka won the women’s ladder match. However, one of the spots in the match was Baron Corbin, aka King Corbin, throwing Rey Mysterio from the terrace of the WWE Headquarters.

Recently, appearing on Mornings with Matt and Bob, Baron Corbin revealed that he believed cops were called after he threw Mysterio. 

Corbin said, “I got it in my head, ‘Well, if one of the greatest ever, let’s see if he can fly’. We happen to be on the top of the 10-story building. I send him over in the darkness, I have that mask on my wall at my house right now.”

He added, “That was one of the craziest Money in the Bank matches because the ring is on the top of Headquarters and there is air and it is cold. It’s Connecticut, it’s dark, the wind was blowing.”

“I think someone legit called the police that I murdered somebody.”

The Money In The Bank ladder match was totally different in the year 2020. The men and women both started the match together on the ground floor, as they hung together both the briefcases on the top of the building.

There were many surprising elements in this match. Doink the Clown, Brother Love, Vince McMahon, and Stephanie McMahon made surprise appearances.

Rey Mysterio is the icon in WWE

Baron Corbin, in his recent appearance on the Mornings with Matt and Bob, talked about his career. He also shared his take on throwing Rey Mysterio from the top of the WWE Headquarters. However, the former US Champion also talked high of the luchador on the show.

Corbin, “He is one of the icons in our industry. He’s been a long time and done many things and have created, like a standard for smaller guys. Everybody who comes into the business and are little undersize, the goal is I want to be the next Rey Mysterio. There will never ever be another Rey Mysterio.”

Indeed, Rey Mysterio is one of the greatest WWE superstars. The newer generation is also a fan of the Luchador. He is still an active member of the WWE roster with his son, Dominick Mysterio. The ‘Master of 619’ is currently grooming his son to become the greatest WWE superstar.
