Why was Deville out of action?

Sonya Deville got into a very personal feud with former tag team partner Mandy Rose. She brought her A game to the table in this feud and shined bright like a diamond. There were no fans in attendance, but Sonya’s impeccable heel work took this feud to another level. Her feud with Rose was probably the best storyline in the women’s division that was not for the title.

Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville fought and brawled several times in the feud. But it was at SummerSlam that all dreams came crashing down for Deville as she lost a No DQ Loser Leaves WWE Match. Given the storyline, it was a perfect end to the feud.

In reality, Sonya Deville took time off to audition for a few Hollywood roles. Plus, she was also a victim of stalking violence when a man broke into her house in August, days before SummerSlam. The stipulation worked perfectly in favor of Sonya.

Sonya’s return to the WWE has surely raised eyebrows as fans speculate what she could do next. Mandy Rose is on Raw, so there’s no way they’re reigniting that feud. Given the exceptional work Sonya Deville put in earlier this year, it would not shock us if she ends up winning the Women’s Royal Rumble match.

After all, WWE needs to back more Women stars except their usual Four Horsewomen and Asuka. Sonya Deville winning the Rumble and challenging Sasha Banks is a thought that literally gives us goosebumps.
