The Undertaker during his prime years really lived his character. He played this dark mythological entity who performed incredible things. However, The Deadman was not simply a good guy or bad guy in WWE. His character was much more complex, yet scared many people with his dark deeds. This also includes Stephanie McMahon.

Stephanie McMahon was majorly involved in WWE storylines back in the day. Moreover, she has played multiple roles in WWE on and off-screen. But there was a time when she was in a dark storyline with The Phenom. Consequently, she recently took to her social media to recall the incident as she was a part of the WrestleMania Superstore Axxess.

Stephanie McMahon took to her Instagram to share a photo of her sitting on a throne. However, it was no ordinary throne. It seems to be a throne custom made for paying tribute to The Undertaker. Its design is in the form of The Deadman’s legendary symbol. Moreover, Stephanie recalled The Deadman abducted her on a similarly designed object.

When did The Undertaker abduct Stephanie McMahon?

Back in 1999, kayfabe was incredibly strong. The Undertaker had formed his own mysterious and dark faction, known as The Ministry of Darkness. Vince McMahon had started a feud with The Phenom and it got really personal very fast. The Deadman decided to take his rivalry to the next level by abducting Vince McMahon’s daughter, Stephanie McMahon.

The plot thickened even more, as The Undertaker decided to marry Stephanie McMahon. To perform the abduction, The Ministry of Darkness tied Stephanie McMahon to an immensely large symbol of The Undertaker. The wedding actually happened on live TV while Stephanie McMahon was tied to the giant tombstone symbol. However, before the ceremony could end, Stone Cold Steve Austin came for the rescue.

The storyline later progressed to reveal that The Ministry of Darkness was actually working with Vince McMahon. He had indeed made The Undertaker perform his own daughter’s abduction. He had done so to somehow get one up on his arch-nemesis, Stone Cold Steve Austin.

It is sometimes unbelievable the types of storylines that took place in WWE’s Attitude Era. However, it looks like Stephanie clearly remembers it fondly as she paid tribute to the legendary Undertaker with her post on social media.
