Stone Cold Steve Austin is making his WWE return to WrestleMania. Moreover, it seems like it will be more than just a promo. Austin has started a feud with WWE Superstar Kevin Owens and looks to confront him at WrestleMania. While WWE has not confirmed it to be an official match yet, Stone Cold, at 57, is deep into training mode.
Stone Cold Steve Austin retired from in-ring action in 2003. He had suffered a lot of injuries in his career, from his knees to his neck and skull. Hence, to the dismay of his fans and himself, he had to go into early retirement.

Stone Cold recently appeared on The Rich Eisen Show where he talked at length about what his WrestleMania return meant to him. Austin said that he never liked the fact that he retired so early and was waiting for an opportunity to return. However, it would require an extreme effort on Austin’s part, as WWE requires a lot of training. Stone Cold said.
“It’s going to be an interesting challenge because in my documentary awhile back on A&E, I said as an active performer, you never want to come off of the road because if you come off of the road, you become soft.” (h/t Mandatory:WrestleZone). He added that he has a big challenge in front of him.

“As I’ve been getting back into ring shape, I’m going to go out there and do the absolute best I can,” Austin added, “My wife knows how much I love her, my family knows how much I love them, my daughters and my stepdaughter knows how much I love them, but professional wrestling—they call it sports entertainment these days—is the number one passion in my life.” (h/t Mandatory:WrestleZone)
