One of the biggest talking points from SummerSlam 2020, without a doubt, was the huge return of “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns. The former WWE Champion ambushed “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt after the latter became the new Universal Champion.
The main event of SummerSlam was “The Fiend” vs Braun Strowman. This was pretty surprising, considering the fact that Randy Orton vs Drew McIntyre was also on the cards.

That probably should have been a clue, but I don’t think anyone paid attention. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt took the title from Braun Strowman after a grueling battle. When he was celebrating after his hard-earned victory, Roman Reigns suddenly came in and delivered a big Spear!
Standing tall over “The Fiend”, Reigns lifted the title high, indicating that he will be challenging for it. Roman Reigns has obviously returned as a heel. One question has been popping up all over social media – why did WWE’s resident superhero tap into his villainous side?

The reason may be more obvious than you think. Roman Reigns has been the face of the company for as long as we can remember.
However, he suffered the same fate as John Cena. The crowd favored him as the underdog, but when he finally reached the top, the hate he got was unreal.

His approval ratings reached a new low when he beat The Undertaker at WrestleMania. WWE didn’t exactly win him the favor of the fans by making him beat their favorite legends.
Roman Reigns needed to take some time off
It was obvious that Reigns needed a break from the screen, and the lockdown period has proved to be the perfect moment for him to sit out for a while.
During his absence, the fans rediscovered their need for him in the ring and the hype around his return grew stronger every week.

Now that he has finally returned, the roof was blown off of SummerSlam. Fans all around the world went crazy with the return of the powerhouse they know as Roman Reigns.

“The Big Dog” has successfully renewed himself, and heel Roman Reigns is a hundred times better than the face. Roman Reigns was arguably the most loved during his SHIELD days. He will make a huge impact as a solo heel and has already thunderstruck the WWE Universe with his bomb-shell of a return.

We can only expect big things now from Reigns as he has returned to reclaim his yard. “The Fiend” must also be on the lookout. He may be scary, but for a man who took out “The Deadman”, Bray Wyatt is a cakewalk.
