While being a second-generation wrestler opens many doors in their career, the wrestlers have to live up to the legacy of their parents. But over the years, many second-generation wrestlers have proved their own value, including Dominik Mysterio. His career started when he came to save his father during a segment, but it grew to become so much more.
But it’s not only WWE where second-generation wrestlers huddle up together. Even in WWE’s rival company, AEW, second-generation wrestlers are making their mark. Despite being in rival companies, one of them just spoke about Dominik rising through the ranks in WWE.

Second-generation wrestler reveals his true feeling about seeing Dominik Mysterio in WWE
In an interview with Fightful, the Gunns, the sons of former WWE star Billy Gunn, talked about their careers. While talking they talked about being in touch with another second-generation wrestler, Dominik Mysterio. Austin Gunn said, “Dominik is on fire right now, and it’s cool to take a step back and see how he’s approaching his career.”
In the interview, the Gunns also talked about how the second-gen wrestlers communicate despite being in rival companies. Austin expanded on that, saying that it isn’t about taking advice from their fellow wrestlers but looking at their trajectories. If you look into the Gunns and Dominik’s feuds with their fathers, it tends to be quite similar.

At this moment, Dominik is at the height of his brief career in WWE. Being featured in different segments every week, hanging out with big stars, and telling an interesting story with his father. But he isn’t the only second-gen wrestler to have such success. The Gunns are the current AEW Tag Team Champions. Winning the titles from the Acclaimed without the help of their father was a grand success for them.
But Dominik and the Gunns aren’t the only ones defying the expectations set by the audience. The most popular second-gen wrestler to make history after history, Charlotte Flair, has led a fiery path, whether her father was involved in it or not. When talking about tag teams as well, few come close to the second-gen twin pair, The Usos, who arguably became more popular than their father.
